Cover appropriate topics using authentic, tailored material. Teaching methods and resources, including books and online material, tailored to your specific learning style and needs will help you learn English grammar and vocabulary quickly.
Get access to online materials and resources. You will be recommended specific online material, as well as books, according to your language level and requirements. This means that you can also continue learning outside of the class.
Practice your English skills in a real-world context. For example, you could learn about emailing phrases in English and then practice in real life. This will give you the opportunity to practice your email writing skills and have your work corrected by the teacher. Alternatively, you could practice role play scenarios based on real – life situations that you need to speak English. These will be prepared and later corrected for you.
Get guidance and feedback from your teacher. If you make specific mistakes, you will be taught this particular grammar/ vocabulary (and given exercises to iron these out) prioritising mistakes that affect the meaning and therefore understanding. For example, if you are using a past verb tense to talk about the future or if you pronounce a word in a way that it sounds like another word.
Success in learning the language is also achieved by doing something that you enjoy normally in your regular day to day life, but in English. For example, watching travel documentaries in English (with English subtitles). By doing something that you like doing anyway, you will improve your English naturally. Lessons are vital of course, to be corrected and taught particular language skills and systems that you need.
